The Arts & Culture Team

Ashlee Conery, Woman sitting in a chair looking to the future, professional art curator
  • ART CURATOR

Ash (she/her) (BA, MFA Curating), is many things: a sailor, a salad enthusiast and And-Co’s Art Curator.

At the heart of our commitment to embracing new and diverse perspectives lies our art program, masterminded by Ash. Through a dynamic array of exhibitions, we ensure our space remains a vibrant hub for local arts and culture, that we provide tangible support for these communities and meaningful touch points for our members.

Our exhibitions feature a diverse spectrum of makers, from Indigenous-led research projects, pioneering new media artists shaping the future of image production, internationally acclaimed painters, sculptors, and photographers, and emerging talents showing their work for the very first time. Ash also works with many of our Solidarity Partners to ensure we support artists working on the DTS, working with mental and physical illness or who lack access to exhibition opportunities.

With over 18 years of curatorial experience spanning six countries, Ash brings a unique blend of expertise to And-Co. Not only is she a seasoned curator, but also a skilled Full-Stack Web Developer, bridging the realms of art and technology within our community.

Her CV includes guest lecturing at The Courtauld Institute of Art and Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. She was Curatorial Interpretation at the Vancouver Art Gallery, and has held Curatorial positions at FormContent in London and Vienna, the ICA London, the Florence Trust London, was co-directing of PANDO at Enclave in London and is Founder of CubeCommons.ca
