Katalina Guerrero

Guerrero’s artistic work explores the subjective experiences of embodied existence–making tangible or visible the qualities, feelings and ideas that we come into contact with through our own bodies as we move about the world.

Through a combined practice of painting and sewing, she creates her drawings moving fabric free hand through her sewing machine, she then paints within her lines, allowing new lines to appear and be fallowed by more stitching. this exchange shapes our identity.

Her textile collages include abstractions of the human body, figurers in transformation, anthropomorphic beings, that explore how the world affects us, and how
